I am a firm believer that cookie consumption is directly correlated with
happiness. As such, I have had cookies all over the country, and consider
myself an expert. This list is a public service, so that hopefully no one
will ever waste precious calories on a mediocre cookie.
Please note that a proper cookie is always microwaved for 20 seconds on
high, and enjoyed with a glass of cold milk.
Also, they should be approximately the size of a steering wheel. No
exceptions.
CORRECTION: Colby Pearce has informed me that microwaving kills the chi of
your food. I'm not a hippie, but I obey my coach. Therefore, I no longer
microwave anything. Cookies from now on will be lightly toasted to desired
meltiness. The milk rule still applies.
10/20/08: I have removed the previous #1 cookie and bumped the rest up a
notch. My grandmother hasn't made cookies in years due to arthritis, and
this list can really only apply to present cookies, since I can't address
all of the other great cookies of the past. I'd apologize to Beverly Gaimon
here, but she doesn't use the internet, so I'll have to do it in person.
